2008 Nonprofits by the Numbers - Just Released
The 2008 edition of Nonprofits by the Numbers shows some encouraging and exciting trends in the nonprofit sector. The statistics show that Maryland's nonprofit sector is not only growing in numbers, but budget sizes are growing as well. Maryland's nonprofit sector is comprised of over 26,000 organizations and employs 243,043 workers. This translates to roughly 9.5% of the entire state's workforce and 8.4% of Maryland's payroll. Future Executive Directors Fellowship - The Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington announced the launch of the Future Executive Directors Fellowship, a new leadership development program designed to prepare mid- and senior-level nonprofit professionals for executive leadership positions.
Applications are due Friday, May 30th.
Economy Slows Charitable Giving, Fundraising in 2007
