Every year, we ask our members
about their satisfaction with the services we provide. We have been
doing this survey for almost a decade with surprisingly consistent
results. On a scale of 1 to 7 with 7 being outstanding, we earned
a 5.36 rating this year for the overall value of membership. In
the past five years it has been as high as 5.55 and as low as 5.12.
The quality of staff interaction increased slightly from 5.47 last
year to 5.53. Our value to the sector is 5.83. Technical assistance, and the training calendar rate high in the
value to our member organizations.
Last year's survey included
questions about the impact of the current economy. 23% of you anticipated
significant cuts in government funding, 26% anticipate minor cuts,
41% think they will receive the same amount of funds, with only
11% expecting an increase.
In a related development,
69% responded that they would be writing more foundation grants.
40% were increasing direct mail efforts and 21% were hiring development
