Bylaws Review

HOW DO YOU ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS?

  • How old are your bylaws?
  • Are your bylaws effective?
  • Are your bylaws a useful tool or holding you back?
  • Do your bylaws reflect how you actually govern?
  • Could you strengthen your bylaws to improve efficiency, clarify roles, and establish best practices for governance and management?

Let our Standards for Excellence Institute® Licensed Consultants help you maximize your bylaws for best performance by providing a comprehensive evaluation and specific recommendations reflecting best practices.

If you don’t know the source of your original bylaws, it may be appropriate to undertake a critical examination. Many times, governing boards continue to use the bylaws they inherit. Our flat-fee bylaws review process creates an opportunity for your organization to ensure that your rules reflect your values and will help you accomplish your goals.

Bylaws should be a tool your board uses to help it govern. If you copied your bylaws from a template without careful review, or if you haven’t reviewed them recently, you should consider a careful analysis and possible revision.

New organizations, as well as more established nonprofits, can use this service to update their bylaws, amending them to reflect how the board actually governs. Bylaws review also ensures that your board is utilizing best practices in governance.

If you are just starting a new nonprofit organization, please check out our nonprofit startup package, which includes original bylaws.

OUR FLAT FEE REVIEW SERVICE INCLUDES:

Our questions are designed to help you consider both the broad and specific views of how you wish to govern your organization. Our team has developed a comprehensive evaluation tool designed to help you articulate how you wish to run your organization. We will interpret your responses to help you design bylaws that reflect best practices.

Customized Recommendations
Our Licensed Consultant will create detailed recommendations for your board to consider. All recommendations will reflect the best practices and preferences you have communicated to the consultant.
