Announcing New Board Members and Officers for 2019

Maryland Nonprofits announces the election of four new members to its Board of Directors. The newly elected Board members are Natasha M. Cavanaugh, J.D., Richard Escalante, Jennifer McGlothlin-Renault, and Rebecca Teaff.

Maryland Nonprofits’ President & CEO, Heather Iliff, announced, “I am thrilled to welcome these four talented individuals. Their unique backgrounds and diverse experience will make them a great asset to Maryland Nonprofits’ board and the organization.”

NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Natasha M. Cavanaugh, J.D., Associate General Counsel, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. which strives to support the wellbeing of individuals and communities across the globe, from the education of students in Chicago, to the health of a young mother in Nigeria. Natasha supports the foundation’s efforts to significantly increase the number of black, Latino, and low-income students who earn a diploma, enroll in a postsecondary institution, and are on track in their first year to obtain a credential with labor-market value.

Richard Escalante, Director of Business Development, Baltimore Development Corporation. Richard is an accomplished Director of Business Development, skilled in revitalizing strategies for Baltimore City. Richard has proven his ability to improve the economic vitality of Baltimore City through the retention and expansion of business and industry. He is skilled in economic analysis, implementing strategies, processes, and technologies that position companies in the City to effectively compete in a global economy.

Jennifer McGlothlin-Renault, Vice President of Maryland Operations, Arrow Child & Family Ministries. Jennifer joined Arrow in 1999 and has had the pleasure of serving in many roles, among them Teacher, Principal, Director of Ministry Advancement, and Associate Vice President. In her current role, Jennifer leads and develops Treatment Foster Care, Residential, Community Based, and Special Education programs for Arrow in Maryland.

Rebecca Teaff, Chief Creative Officer & Founder, Redstart Creative. Rebecca has a passion for good causes that match her passion for design. In 2009 Rebecca founded her graphic design and marketing company, Redstart Creative, with the mission of creating clear communications for those who drive positive change in the world. Rebecca and her team work creative strategic solutions in print and electronic media for nonprofits and small businesses.
