Danielle McDonald

Hailing from New Jersey, Danielle made her way to Maryland after completing her first Americorps program through City Year New York as an Intervention Tutor. Wanting to learn more about the nonprofit world she then signed up for her second Americorps program through Public Allies. While interning at her placement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake she developed a passion for connecting individuals with resources and opportunities that could be impactful. Danielle continued to work for organizations and companies (Boys Hope Girls Hope-Baltimore, 2U, Healthcare for the Homeless, and Bard High School Early College) where she could be a resource herself and enjoyed assisting others with connecting the dots in their own life. Danielle believes in paying it forward since she herself received many opportunities to change the trajectory of her life.

When Danielle isn’t working, she enjoys listening to true crime podcasts, putting together puzzles, playing board games, and entertaining her toddler.
