COA Accreditation

Council on Accreditation Logo

MARFY is a Sponsoring Organization of the Council on Accreditation (COA) through its membership in the National Organization of State Associations for Children (NOSAC). MARFY shares this designation along with 28 state associations within NOSAC and other prominent organizations such as the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, Catholic Charities USA, Family Focused Treatment Association, Child Welfare League of America, and Volunteers of America and more. Each of these organizations directly impacts COA’s policies and practices and supports COA’s mission to partner with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting accreditation standards.

COA is looking at ways to support you in obtaining funding and working with governmental agencies to increase the value of accreditation. To that end, please contact Jaclyn Green-Stock, Public Affairs and Strategic Partnerships Associate at jstock@coanet.org or 212.797.3000 extension 226 to provide input on ways COA can support you in your work.

Opportunities to Help Set & Raise the Bar

COA relies on its Sponsoring Organizations for expertise in the field of human services. As a member of a Sponsoring Organization, you have the distinct opportunity to participate in drafting and updating COA’s standards and strengthening its current (re)accreditation process. This invaluable relationship is one of the many ways COA maintains relevancy and tracks current best practices for integration in its standards and processes. In that regard, we would like to invite you to participate in this important effort.
