VOA Resource Center Open and Ready to Assist Nonprofit Organizations

Image of the VOACCVolunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas’ (VOACC) Resource Center, a new 12,500-sq.-foot warehouse in Linthicum, is now open to provide nonprofits with an opportunity to reduce costs while providing access to new, high-quality, highly needed products.

Organizations that become members of the Resource Center will have access to a wide variety of items including apparel, personal care, toys, office supplies, electronics, sporting goods, and household supplies, to name just a few. Membership allows nonprofits to browse and select donations both in-person at the Resource Center as well as through an online portal. Membership cost is based on revenue: organizations with annual revenues less than $500K will pay $100 annually; revenues $500K – $1MM is $250 annually; revenues $1MM – $5MM is $500 annually; revenues $5MM – $10MM is $750 annually and revenues over $10MM is $1,000 for an annual membership.

“We are pleased to provide this service which will help us to directly contribute to nonprofits in need of goods for the individuals and families that they are serving,” said Russ Snyder, President and CEO of Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas.

The Center receives large and frequent donations of new goods from both regional and national retailers and brands. VOACC initiated the project to help nonprofit organizations provide direct relief to people in need and to help organizations save money that can be redirected to supporting programs and services.  VOACC developed the Resource Center in partnership with Good360, the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, which provided a financial investment as well as strategy and operational support.
