Catalina Rodríguez Lima

Catalina Rodriguez Lima holds a master’s degree in Global Affairs and Human Security from the University of Baltimore and a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Towson University. A native of Ecuador, Catalina moved to Baltimore in the year 2000.

She is the founding Director of the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA) in Baltimore City. As the Director of MIMA, Catalina is responsible for promoting community well-being, economic development, and the inclusion of immigrant and refugee communities in the City of Baltimore.

Prior to becoming MIMA’s Director, Catalina served as the Latino Liaison under former Mayor Rawlings-Blake where she spearheaded efforts to retain and attract immigrants to the City. This led to the release of the Role of Immigrants in Growing Baltimore and the establishment of MIMA in 2014.
