Meeting Agendas – Board Room Quick Tip (22)

MEMBER EXCLUSIVE RESOURCE

A meeting agenda is imperative. Not only can it help you keep a meeting running efficiently and effectively but the agenda can serve as an organizational historian, creating a “Card Catalogue” for retrieving important documents and event information. Your agenda should be drawn up by the board president typically with the assistance of the executive director. Each meeting agenda should follow the plan laid out in the Board Annual Calendar (see board room Quick Tip 10). Your agenda could serve double duty as the table of contents for your meeting minutes (see Board Room Quick tip 12). This quick tip includes a sample agenda outline that can be modified to fit your organization.
